The Second Age[]
The Second Age, known as the Age of Legends in the following Age, takes place. It is an Age where the One Power is entirely free of the Dark One's taint, and men and women both serve as Aes Sedai - "servants of all."[1][2]
The Third Age[]
After Breaking[]
0 AB
- The Dragon Lews Therin Telamon and a group of male Aes Sedai attempt to cage the Dark One forever. When they fail, the Dark One taints the One Power, driving all male Aes Sedai mad. In their madness they break the world. Mountains fall, lands are reformed, civilization collapses, and the towering Dragonmount is formed. This marks the end of the Age of Legends, and the beginning of the Third Age.[1]
Unknown
- The Westlands begins to recover from the Breaking, leading to the rise of great and prosperous nations, such as Aridhol and Manetheren.
The Trolloc Wars[]
- Aridhol decides not to send aid to Manetheren in their hour of need. The inhabitants of their capital are later destroyed by an evil within the city.
- Manetheren is destroyed after hordes of Shadowspawn are sent against the small but mighty forces of the nation. King Aemon is killed in battle, and Queen Eldrene destroys the Shadowspawn armies, while sacrificing her own life and destroying the capital in the process by drawing in too much of the One Power. The survivors later rebuild as the humble community of the Two Rivers.
The Free Years[]
Unknown
- Artur Hawkwing besieges Tar Valon. In order to lift the siege, the Aes Sedai agree to take the Three Oaths, being completely bound to certain regulations by the One Power itself.[3]
