The White Tower is an upcoming 3D-animated feature-length film which will be a prequel to The Wheel of Time television series. The film is in development by iwot productions and Squeeze Studios. It will be written by Zack Stentz and directed by Jay Oliva.[1][2][3] Production is planned to begin in early 2024.[3] A release date has not been announced.

The White Tower will be an original story. The press release describes it as:[1]
The feature will be set in a time before the events chronicled in the popular The Wheel of Time television series from Amazon Studios and Sony Pictures Television. It is an action-adventure about a young girl with a special gift whose life is forever changed when evil visits her remote mountain village. Finding herself alone in a dangerous world, she must go to The White Tower to learn how to use her magical powers in order to save her family and friends. Rebellious and distrusting, she learns that friendship can be as powerful a weapon against evil as any form of magic.

The White Tower film was announced in a press release on July 10, 2023. It's a collaboration between iwot productions and Squeeze Studios, with writer Zack Stentz developing the script. The film will be produced by Rick Selvage and Larry Mondragon of iwot productions, and Zack Stentz of Electric Brain Entertainment, with Squeeze Studios collaborating on design and development.[1][2]
On October 19, 2023, Deadline reported that The White Tower film will be directed by Jay Olivia and that it would be 3D-animated. The producers were considering a 2024 production start date.[3]
