Ter'angreal

A ter'angreal (Old Tongue for tool of the power to channel) is an object of the One Power that is used to perform a specific function.

Overview

A ter'angreal is made with a specific purpose, which can greatly differ between different objects. Some ter'angreal can do rather mundane things, like playing music or creating fabric. Others can be very useful or have esoteric purposes, such as acting as doorways to different places, spaces, and experiences.

The ability to make ter'angreal, as well as angreal and sa'angreal, appears to be a lost form of knowledge from the Age of Legends, making them rare and precious items in the Third Age.
