Synopsis[]

Official episode synopsis for Tel'aran'rhiod from Prime Video:

Egwene learns Rand's dark secret. Perrin stages a daring rescue. Nynaeve, Elayne, Mat, and Min hunt the Black Ajah.

Plot summary[]

Moiraine tries using the Sakarnen while Channeling her energy through it, but its power is far too overwhelming for her. Lan appears and catches her before she faints from exhaustion. The two discuss the Sakarnen and what Moiraine saw in the rings.

As Rand's group continues onward, Aviendha is assigned to watch over Rand as per her training as a Wise One by Bair and Melaine. Reaching Cold Rock's Hold, Rhuarc informs Rand that's where they'll be staying until the other Chieftains have arrived. There, Rhuarc reunites with his other wife Lian and his grandchild Alsera, also Bair invites Egwene to join her in Dreamwalk and she accepts.

From the White Tower, in Siuan's room, Siuan is joined by Elaida, who questions where Elayne was. Siuan informs her that she's on a chosen journey and Queen Morgase already knew. With that, Elaida announces that a vote will be held in the hall to cage the Dragon Reborn, but Siuan brushes it off, and Elaida then asks where Moiraine was. Suian answers that she's been exiled, which leads to Elaida commenting on Suian's relationship with Moiraine and disparaging Siuan for her humble background.

Later, accompanied by Leane, Siuan visits Verin, who discuss what they've learned about the Black Ajah and that it's possible that one still remains in the tower. Using the opportunity to get information from Amico and Joiya, and discern whether or not Elaida is a Black Ajah or not.

Meanwhile, in Two Rivers, Perrin learns from Mandarb that White Cloak reinforcements have arrived and now is the best time to rescue the Cauthons.

Back at Cold Rock's Hold, Rand enjoys a meal with Rhuarc's family, with Moiraine, Lan, and Avidendha. Elsewhere, Egwene, alongside Bair and Melaine, enters the dream world Tel'aran'rhiod with them. Egwene encounters Lanfear during this time, who constrains her. Awoken from her dream, Bair and Melaine tell Egwene that she's being stalked by "Shadowsouled" or as Wetlanders call them, the Forsaken.

At the White Tower, Elaida talks with the White Ajah Alviarin in an attempt to coax her to side with her on the vote to purge Siuan as Amyrlin. She then directs her attention to Adeleas and orders her Accepted to leave them. After the Accepted does, she informs Leane and Verin that Elaida had taken the "bait", much to Verin's dismay. Adeleas tells Elaida about the Black Ajahs in Despository Thirteen.

Riding on a boat, heading toward Tanchico, Mat, Nynaeve, and Elayne had taken shelter in the lower deck of the ship for two weeks. Mat, who grew restless of waiting down there, wanted to go up to the upper decks, but Elayne admonished him, as it went against their deal with the shipmistress. This changed after Elayne saw they were past the Wind's Finger, which gave Mat the excuse to head up to the upper deck and demand answers.

There, Nynaeve vomits overboard, catching the attention of the sailmistress Coine Din Jubai Wild Winds who advises her how to regain her composure. After getting permission from someone, they can stay on the decks. However, Mat spots Min and joins her in her room.

At the White Cloak camp, Natti, Bode, and Eldrin are questioned by Dain about Perrin. In the middle of this, Natti tries to steal his keys to their cage, but as he fights back, he's blasted away by a Channel blast. Dain accuses one of them of being a "Witch" and Natti says it was her, thereby having her dragged out by Dain to be questioned by Eamon.

Meanwhile, Perrin's group breaks up into groups that will attack the White Cloak camp and those that will stay behind, and Alanna, against Maksim's wishes, volunteers to create a cover. This created a falling out between Alanna and Maksim.

At Cold Rock's Hold, Lan has a heart-to-heart with Melindhra about Malkier, and Rand discovers that Egwene will be staying with the other Wise Ones to continue training her in Dream Walking. Lan later talks to Moiraine, who confides in him about her visions from Rhuidean.

On the boat, in Min's room, Mat discovers a drawing of him where he hangs himself, which Min foresaw in a vision of hers. However, he brushes it off as nonsense. From the deck, Nynaeve and Elayne discover the sailmistresses are Channelers and use their Channeling to help steer the boat's sails. Packing their things, Mat introduces Min to Nynaeve and Elayne, who recognize her from different places.

At the Tower, Elaida questions Amica and Joiya about who the remaining Black Ajah are, and getting nothing from Amica, Elaida kills her. By turning her attention to Joiya, Elaida is ambushed by a Grayman who kills Joiya and stabs Elaida multiple times, before being rescued by Leane and Siuan.

Perrin's time infiltrates the camp, creating a foggy veil. Eamon tells a White Cloak named Byar that Natti wasn't a Witch and offers him the chance to catch one that was. Inside the camp, Perrin finds and rescues Eldrin and Bode, but later finds Natti's burnt corpse. Soon after this, Dain confronts Perrin, and in the fight that breaks out between them, he's beaten by Faile.

From Alanna's position, she's taken down by several White Cloaks wielding crossbows. Before the White Cloaks could capture her, Maksim arrives, slays them, and helps Alanna.

Rand meets with Lanfear in the dream world and talks to her about when Rand first met her in one of his past lives.

Meanwhile, Moiraine asks Egwene to accompany her through the dreamworld so she can deliver a message to Siuan. The message was that if the tower doesn't bend its knee to Rand, he will lose the final battle.

Egwene shifts from one dream to another of her friends seeing possible futures for them all; however, when she reaches Rand's she's horrified to see Lanfear making out with Rand.
