The Sea Folk are a seafaring people. They are a highly distinct culture, and are considered separate to all peoples of the Westlands. They are considered great traders and hagglers.[1]

Bayle Domon believes he is able to call Moiraine's bluff when she tries to buy the broken cuendillar and the poem found in the City of Cairhien. However, Moiraine manages to secure what she actually wants at a very low price by getting him to lower the price of the poem that he has paired with the cuendillar, and then choosing only buy the poem without the hearstone. Moiraine states that, while Sea Folk may be good at the game, it was the Aes Sedai that invented it.[1]
