Verin Mathwin asks Sheriam Bayanar about the book Meditations on the Kindling Flame, since Sheriam has it checked out of the library. Verin asks to see the book for a section on the Amyrlin Tetsuan. Sheriam has the book in her room, so they leave her study to get it. This is a ruse by Verin, so that Yasicca can sneak into Sheriam's study and reference her book logging Novices.[1]

(book spoilers!) from the book series.
- Topic - The book series specifies that Meditations on the Kindling Flame is about the history of Amyrlins; although it's not specified in the TV series, it appears to be the same as Verin is looking for information on one of the Amyrlins.
- Introduction - In the book series, Meditations on the Kindling Flame comes up much later in the series, and is being read by a different Aes Sedai.
