A Malkieri Woman is a character in The Wheel of Time television series portrayed by Derancie Baitoukou.
She is a Malkieri refugee living in Fal Dara.
History[]
Early life[]
This Malkieri woman is of the lost nation of Malkier. She belongs to the family of Zahir, a royal armsman to House Mandragoran who helped al'Lan Mandragoran escape the fall of Malkier. After their nation was lost to the Great Blight, they came to live in Fal Dara in Shienar.[2]
She is a channeler. It is unknown if she ever studied at the White Tower of Tar Valon (in which case, she would have failed her training), but she is very likely a wilder.
Season 1[]
The woman and her family welcome Lan back to the city when he returns to Fal Dara due to his duties as Moiraine Damodred's Warder. They begin to eat dinner happily, and Lan leaves for a brief moment to return with his traveling companion, Nynaeve al'Meara. Mistaking her for an Aes Sedai, the woman greets her, and asks if she is hungry. Nynaeve corrects her, but kindly accepts the woman's offer, and the woman invites her to take a seat, getting the child to move to sit nearer to Lan so Nynaeve has a place to sit down.[2]
The woman answers Lady Amalisa's call for any woman who can channel to help defend the city from the trolloc attack. She links with Amalisa, lending Amalisa her power, which helps decimate the trolloc army. Amalisa pulls too much power through her, and the woman is burnt through by the power. She collapses, her face horrifically burned by the power, apparently dead.[3]

The Malkieri woman has medium-light skin. She wears a painted dot on her forehead, per the Malkieri custom for women.
