Lindsay Duncan is a Scottish actress who portrays Anvaere Damodred in season 2 of Prime Video's The Wheel of Time.

Lindsay Duncan is a prolific actress with decades of experience. Prior to The Wheel of Time, Duncan was best known by genre fans for portraying Ysabeau de Clermont in A Discovery of Witches (2018–2022), Octavia in His Dark Materials (2020-2022), Helen Kingsleigh in Disney's Alice in Wonderland (2010) and Alice Through the Looking Glass (2016), Lady Smallwood in BBC's Sherlock (2014–2017), Adelaide Brooke in the Doctor Who episode "The Waters of Mars" (2009), and Servilia in HBO's Rome (2005-2007).
On January 2, 2022, Lindsay Duncan's involvement with The Wheel of Time was revealed in an interview with The Sunday Post, which stated that she was filming season 2.[1] On June 26, 2023, WoT Series reported that Lindsay Duncan would be portraying the role of Anvaere Damodred.[2] On August 14, 2023, actress Rosamund Pike confirmed that Duncan would be in the series.[3]
