Laia Costa is a Spanish actress who plays Moghedien in Prime Video's The Wheel of Time, starting from the second season.
General overview[]
Prior to The Wheel of Time, Costa was best known for portraying Amaia in Lullaby (2022), Ella in Foodie Love (2019, 8 episodes), and the titular character in Victoria (2015).
On April 6, 2022, fan news site WoT Series reported that Laia Costa would portray the character "Magdelena".[1] Costa's online CV with her talent agency lists her role as "Magdalena" under various directors, indicating that her role is recurring.[2] On Wednesday, May 3, 2023, showrunner Rafe Judkins shared a video clip of the partial season 3 cast headshots; fans deduced that the top of one image is from the headshot of Laia Costa, indicating that she will also be in season 3.[3] In an interview on June 1, 2023, Costa revealed that she would soon start an eleven-month filming for an international series of fiction and fantasy, which would be shot in Prague. She mentioned that she had already filmed a previous season, which had not been released yet, and now she would return to shoot more.[4]
