Changes from the book series[]
Jonai is an adaptation of the character of the same name (book spoilers!) from the book series.
- Adan - In the books, Adan is Jonai's son, rather than his grandson.
- Keep the covenant - In the books, it was just Adan who witnessed the Aiel abandon the covenant (and become the tuatha'an), not Jonai.
- Tasked with the covenant - In the books, Jonai was tasked by Solinda to take the Aiel to safety along with Chora tree cuttings. In the TV show, this was instead experienced by Rhodric.
