Joelle is an Austrian-English actress who portrays Joiya Byir in Prime Video's The Wheel of Time.
General overview[]
Joelle was diagnosed with alopecia universalis at the age of eight, and started making media appearances when she was 13, campaigning about bullying awareness. She is an ambassador for charity Alopecia UK.
Joelle made her feature film debut in Dune (2021) as a servant to the Baron, and she returned to the role in Dune: Part Two (2024). Prior to The Wheel of Time, Joelle was also known for portraying the character Joelle in the Netflix original film The School for Good and Evil (2022), and for portraying Vipsania in season 2 of Domina (2023).
On May 13, 2023, WoT Series reported that Joelle was joining The Wheel of Time for seasons 2 and 3.[1] In August 2023, IMDb was updated to show that Joelle would be portraying Joiya Byir.[2]
