Jhonas

Jhonas is a character introduced in season 2 of The Wheel of Time television series portrayed by Robert Russell.

Jhonas is the butler for House Damodred, most notably serving Anvaere Damodred.

History[]

Early life[]

Jhonas has presumably been with the Damodreds for a long time, as Moiraine Damodred knows him when she returns after decades away.

Season 2[]

When Moiraine returns to the House, Jhonas goes to Anvaere and informs her that she has a visitor. He is hesitant to say, but tells her that the visitor is Anvaere's older sister. He takes Moiraine to see Anvaere, and once Anvaere agrees to have Moiraine stay in her old room, Moiraine requests that Jhonas get a dressmaker for her and a bottle of Ghealdanin Red wine from the cellar. Jhonas does so and leaves the bottle on a table. As Moiraine leaves her room, she sees Anvaere and Jhonas speaking, and she picks up the wine and leaves.[1]

Jhonas is an elderly man with fair skin and grey-white hair. He walks with a slight hunch from his age. He wears a light blue long-sleeved shirt and a darker blue vest.

  • Jhonas is named "Damodred Butler" in the credits, but Moiraine addresses him by name in the episode.[1]
