Jessica Boone is an American actress who portrays Alwhin in Prime Video's The Wheel of Time beginning in season 2. Her casting was confirmed upon the release of the show's second season.
General overview[]
Prior to The Wheel of Time, Jessica Boone was best known as an accomplished voice actress and for her theatrical work. Boone has provided voices in hundreds of episodes for dubbed anime, and she's voiced the English dubbed characters Sheele in Akame ga Kill (2014), Rei Miyamoto in High School of the Dead (2010-2011), and Nayuki Minase in Kanon (2006-2007). In Prague, she has focused on her theatre work, including both Shakespeare and musical theatre, and she has portrayed the starring characters Rosalind, Juliet, Helena, Regan, Ophelia, Innogen, and Lady Macbeth on stage.[1][2] In live-action media, Boone is known for portraying Pix / Fae Mother in the Prime Video series Carnival Row (2023), Rabia in the TV series Missing (2012), and Romley's Assistant in the film Unlocked (2017).
In November 2021, Jessica Boone's involvement with The Wheel of Time was first revealed in a now-deleted Instagram post from a talent agency. The post congratulated Guy Roberts, Jennifer Preston, and Jessica Boone's involvement in The Wheel of Time; at the time, Guy Roberts and Jennifer Preston were already announced as portraying Uno Nomesta and Mistress Grinwell respectively in season 1, but Jessica Boone had not been previously revealed to be in the series.[3][4] Boone was spotted with the side of her head shaved in August 2021, leading to speculation that she may portray a Seanchan character.[4][5] On July 21, 2023, WoT Series reported that Jessica Boone's casting was confirmed by her agency and that she would be portraying the character Alwhin.[6]
