Jenny is a dog unofficially adopted by Moiraine Damodred while Moiraine was a novice studying at the White Tower.
History[]
Early life[]
Jenny was unofficially adopted by Moiraine while she and Alanna Mosvani were novices together at the White Tower. Novices aren't allowed to have pets, so Moiraine maintains that Jenny wasn't her dog, although Jenny slept in Moiraine's bed every night. Alanna knew of Jenny and kept Moiraine's secret.[2]
Season 1[]
While working together to keep Logain Ablar shielded, Alanna asks Moiraine what was the name of the dog. Moiraine denies that the dog was hers, and correctly deduces that Kerene Nagashi has asked Alanna to use their friendship to get information from Moiraine. After they stop Logain from an attempt to break through their shields, Alanna recalls that the dog's name was Jenny.[2]

Jenny is not shown in the series.
Showrunner Rafe Judkins stated that Jenny is an Irish wolfhound,[3] so she would be a large dog with shaggy fur.

Jenny is an original character to the television series. In the book series, Moiraine did not have any pets, and dogs did not like women who could channel.
