Jean Thierry d'Almeida

Jean Thierry "Jamal" d'Almeida is a stunt performer in season 2 of The Wheel of Time television series, and a credited actor starting in season 3.[2] He was a stunt double for Marcus Rutherford (Perrin Aybara), and he portrayed Shivan the Hunter, who is one of the Heroes of the Horn. He also played Bruan in season 3.[2]

General overview[]

Prior to The Wheel of Time, Jean Thierry d'Almeida was best known for portraying Jake in an episode of Miracle Workers (2020), a dancer in the music video Mikolas Josef: Abu Dhabi (2019), and Karim in the TV movie L'amour en jeu (2011). He is a stunt performer with the Filmka Stunt Team, which does stunts for The Wheel of Time.

On December 5, 2023, Jean Thierry d'Almeida revealed that he was a stunt double for Marcus Rutherford (Perrin Aybara) when he posted behind the scenes photos of himself in costume.[3] Fans suspected he also portrayed Shivan the Hunter,[4] which he confirmed on January 25, 2024 when he posted a photo of himself in costume as Shivan.[5] On February 20, 2024, d'Almeida posted a video of his makeup and hair process for Shivan the Hunter.[6]
