Jan Petrina is an actor and stunt coordinator who works on The Wheel of Time television series.
General overview[]
Prior to The Wheel of Time, Jan Petrina had been a stunt coordinator for Hanna (2021), Carnival Row (2019), and Brittania (2019). Jan Petrina is also known for being a stunt double on superhero films, including doing stunts as Captain America (Chris Evans) in Captain America: The First Avenger (2011), as Captain America (Chris Evans) and Vision (Paul Betany) in Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015), and as Peter Quill (Chris Pratt) in Guardians of the Galaxy (2014).
Jan Petrina's involvement with The Wheel of Time was revealed in 2020 when his credits were added to the Internet Movie Database (IMDb).[1]

If you’re in the studio, you can put a lot of mats under for safety. But there, in the floating river, you don’t have the option. And the river wasn’t too deep, so we did have to use wires and just put them above Maddy and throw her in. She would just touch a little bit of the water each time. And we would reset a lot, because our director loved doing a lot of takes. So we had to be ready for Isis making a hundred costumes for each time she would have to be pushed. We had to keep her dry as much as we could. She did an amazing job, and it gives the audience a little bit more when you see the actors really falling off the cliff and hitting the water.

There's a whole choreography that goes around that because it's a robot, and if it's moving six feet in a second, anything that's in its way will be knocked out. So it takes a lot of precision from the stunt performers, and incredible stunt coordination and choreography by Jan Petrina and his team.
