Hopper is a character in The Wheel of Time television series. He is a wolf who is able to communicate with Perrin Aybara.
History[]
Season 2[]
Hopper is beside Perrin when Elyas Machera describes the nature of a wolfbrother. Perrin discovers that he is able to communicate with him, and learns Hopper's name when he mentally pictures the wolf jumping high. Elyas says that it is "close enough" to what his true name is in the language of wolves. Perrin also learns that the wolves have long been trying to communicate with him. Hopper considers himself similar to Perrin, as he lost his mate, much like Perrin lost his wife, Laila.[1]
Hopper travels with a party consisting of Perrin, Aviendha, Bain, and Chiad on the way towards Falme. Later, just outside Falme, Perrin orders Hopper not to enter the city to avoid any dangers from within. However, during the Battle of Falme, when Perrin is being attacked by Eamon Valda, Hopper comes to Perrin's rescue and attacks Eamon. This, in turn, leads to Geofram Bornhald coming to Eamon's aid and killing Hopper. Witnessing Hopper's death at the hands of Geofram, Perrin goes into a berserk rage and swiftly kills Geofram, avenging Hopper's death.
