The Heroes of the Horn are heroes from ages past in The Wheel of Time series.

The Heroes of the Horn are considered the Pattern's greatest heroes. They are called back to the world of the living when the Horn of Valere is sounded. The Heroes of the Horn are to be called to help fight the Last Battle.

Known Heroes of the Horn

There appear to be about twenty Heroes of the Horn who are currently called by the Horn of Valere. There are also living Heroes of the Horn; these individuals are not called by the Horn of Valere because they are currently alive, but they have presumably been called before and will be again between lives.

Changes from the book series

The Heroes of the Horn are an adaptation of the group of heroes of the same name  (book spoilers!) from the book series.

• Number - In the books, there were "little more than a hundred" of the Heroes of the Horn who are called forth by the Horn of Valere. In the television series, there appear to be only about 20.
• Mat - In the book series, Mat was not yet one of the Heroes of the Horn. The television series is another turning of the wheel, presumably a later one, so Mat has become one of the Heroes of the Horn since the book series' turning.
