The Hall of the Tower is a great chamber in the White Tower, as well as the governing body of the Aes Sedai that convenes within it.[1] Its purpose is to debate and ratify the policies of the Amyrlin Seat, and to deliberate important matters concerning the Tower.[2]
Overview[]
The Hall consists of three Sitters from each of the seven Ajahs, making twenty-one Sitters total. It is presided over by the Amyrlin Seat, and observed by the Keeper of the Chronicles, the second-in-command of the Amyrlin.[2]
The Hall has considerable power, and can keep the Amyrlin in check. It has even deposed and stilled Amyrlins in the past.[3]
