Guy Roberts is an actor who portrays Uno Nomesta on Prime Video's The Wheel of Time.
General overview[]
On February 24, 2021, Guy Roberts' involvement in The Wheel of Time was first revealed when fan news vlog WoT Up! reported he would be in the series in an unknown role.[1][2]
Guy Roberts is a fan of The Wheel of Time and had read the books before the television series was announced.[3] When he first read the audition script, he realized it was for the character Uno even though it used the codename Umat.[4] To prepare for the role, Roberts copied every reference to Uno and the Shienarans into a note file on his phone, and he would re-read the whole thing every day of shooting season 1 as a way to get into character.[3]
On December 6, 2021, Guy Roberts was officially announced to portray Uno Nomesta as a recurring character.[5]
On April 19, 2024 during a panel at JordanCon, Guy Roberts revealed that there was some back-and-forth for showrunner Rafe Judkins regarding the choice to kill off Roberts' character Uno. Roberts pitched to have Uno survive, but eventually asked Judkins that if Uno was killed, to bring him back as a Hero of the Horn. Rafe Judkins said he really liked the idea but that it wasn't going to happen. Guy Roberts played Uno through season 2 as though he thought Uno would come back, although that wasn't the plan for production. Rafe Judkins later got permission from the Robert Jordan Estate and Uno was brought back as a Hero of the Horn.[3]

- Guy Roberts is married to Jessica Boone, who portrays Alwhin.
- Guy Roberts is the founder and artistic director of Prague Shakespeare Company, and he has directed Jessica Boone and Taylor Napier (who portrays Maksim) in several stage plays there. In August 2023, Roberts directed Romeo & Juliet starring Napier as Romeo and Boone as Juliet.[9]
