Gawyn Trakand is a character introduced in season 3 of The Wheel of Time, portrayed by Luke Fetherston.[1]
Gawyn is a royal prince of Andor, younger brother to Galad and older brother to Elayne.[2] He is "a skilled fighter, famously handsome, and protective of his younger sister."[3]

Season 2[]
Gawyn's sister, Elayne, departs Caemlyn so that she can enroll as a Novice in the White Tower.[4]
After Elayne, Egwene al'Vere and Nynaeve al'Meara have been kidnapped by Liandrin Guirale, Verin Mathwin asks questions around the Tower as to their whereabouts. Yasicca looks at Sheriam's records, which state that they were given leave to come to Gawyn's name day ceremony. However, the difference in handwriting makes Verin suspect that Sheriam could be under Compulsion. Liandrin also seems to be familiar with the statement about Gawyn's name day.[2]

Now this is where my eidetic memory comes in handy. On the 72nd page is the notation about the three girls' departure, apparently to attend Elayne's brother Gawyn's name day ceremony.

(book spoilers!) from the book series.
- Introduction - Gawyn is introduced later in the story in the TV series. In the books, he and the rest of the royal family are introduced in the first book, The Eye of the World, which was primarily adapted in season 1.
