Gawyn Trakand is the son of Morgase Trakand, the Queen of Andor. He is the brother of Elayne.[1]

Season 2[]
Gawyn's sister, Elayne, departs Caemlyn so that she can enroll as a Novice in the White Tower.[2]
After Elayne, Egwene al'Vere and Nynaeve al'Meara have kidnapped by Liandrin Guirale, Verin Mathwin asks questions around the Tower as to their whereabouts. Yasicca looks at Sheriam's records, which state that they were given leave to come to Gawyn's name day ceremony. However, the difference in handwriting makes Verin suspect that Sheriam could be under Compulsion. Liandrin also seems to be familiar with the statement about Gawyn's name day.[1]
