Galldrian is the Queen of Cairhien.[1]
History[]
Season 2[]
Galldrian is supposedly giving out a boon to Hunters of the Horn. However, Anvaere Damodred tells Rand al'Thor that the queen's prize is nothing more than a ploy to clear the impoverished masses out of the Foregate.[2]
Anvaere later tells Moiraine Damodred that her son, Barthanes, is marrying the queen, a political coup for her that will restore honor and respect to House Damodred.[3] The Damodreds are later planning for the royal wedding when Moiraine and Rand return from Kinslayer's Dagger. Barthanes happily tells his aunt that he will marry Queen Galldrian, and become the nation's king.[1]

Changes from the book series[]
Galldrian is an adaptation of the Galldrian Riatin (book spoilers!) from the book series.
- In the books, Galldrian is a man. The royal wedding plot is original to the television series; Barthanes and Galldrian are rivals in the books instead of being set to marry one another.
