Davina Lamont is a make-up, hair, and prosthetics designer who works on The Wheel of Time television series.
General overview[]
Prior to The Wheel of Time, Davina Lamont was known for working on The Lord of the Rings film trilogy (2001-2003), Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows (2011), and Avatar (2009). She's been nominated for two Emmy awards in the Outstanding Makeup category for her work on Genius (2017) and Genius: Picasso (2018).[1]

I get a little bit from the books. When I start reading the scripts, I get as much information as I can out of the scripts. And then I go to Rafe, the showrunner, and Justine, the writer. And then also I've got Sarah Nakamura, who is like the guru in all things the books. She gives me more information. And so when I say to her, "Hey," because obviously in the scripts they give you as much detail as they can put in there. And then she gives me a lot more that I try and hit for the fans who are reading the books and all these little details that I need to put in. But when it came to the Sul'dam, they didn't actually have anything about their hair or anything about their makeup. And so that was a completely new design that I had to come up with. With Lady Suroth, I think for her it was the long nails that we had to put in with her and the fact that she had a certain look, which I can't go into detail yet until the mask comes off. But there were certain elements within the Seanchan that I had to hit within the hair. And as soon as all those masks come off, you'll see.
