The Children of the Light, colloquially called the Whitecloaks, are a military organization that features in The Wheel of Time.
Overview[]
The Children of the Light are an organization dedicated to fighting the Shadow and scourging Darkfriends from society. They are independent of any crown or country, and men from all over the Westlands choose to follow the Way of the Light. Their organization has been left unchecked for a thousand years, and as a result, their ideology for hunting Darkfriends has grown extreme. They see all channelers as followers of the Dark One, as the One Power was used in the Breaking of the World, and regard the Aes Sedai as "witches" in league with the Shadow.[1]
Their headquarters exists in Amador, the capital of the nation of Amadicia. It is the center of their power.[2][3]
