Chesmal Emry is a character in the The Wheel of Time television series portrayed by Mi Hae Lee. She is an Aes Sedai of the Yellow Ajah, and is a secret member of the Black Ajah who joins Liandrin in her attack on the Hall of the Tower.

History

Season 3

Chesmal and Jeaine Caide rush to the Hall when the Black Ajah attacks Siuan Sanche and the other Sitters. Chesmal battles both the Warders and the Red Sitters, then flees with the other Blacks to the docks of Tar Valon.

Trivia

• Chesmal is considered a fandom meme, and has been well before she even appeared in the show. Months before season 1 aired, she was mentioned by showrunner Rafe Judkins in a long rant about how thoroughly the writers had been thinking about the show as an adaptation.
  • The full response from Judkins about considering changes from the books was: "We have to consider it for the entire series. Which has led to many in room conversations/screaming matches where someone is like "The Yellow sister Healing someone in this scene CANNOT be Chesmal Emry. Are you kidding me? Do you know anything about Chesmal Emry. What did you just google a random Yellow sister name and pick one you liked? Fuck you and your yellow sister, it's not going to be fucking Chesmal Emry, I guarantee you that."
