Bonding is creating a psychic and emotional link between two individuals through the use of the One Power. It is used by the Aes Sedai to link to their Warders.[1]
Warder bond[]
Bonding is used by the Aes Sedai to create a link to a certain warrior, who thus serves as their Warder, a bodyguard who is also typically a close friend and confidant.[1]
A bond can be masked, which may be for privacy, such as sexual relationships with an individual outside the bond. However, a masked bond means that a Warder cannot protect his Aes Sedai when they are apart.[2]
