Bair is a character in the The Wheel of Time television series. She is portrayed by Nukâka Coster-Waldau.
Bair is an Aiel Wise One of the Taardad clan who is a Dreamwalker.
History[]
Early life[]
Bair was once a Maiden of the Spear, but was called to train with the Wise Ones as she was a channeler and Dreamwalker. She was stubborn and at first resisted the call to train, but eventually became a respected Wise One of the Taardad clan.[1]
Season 3[]
When Egwene al'Vere is being tortured by Lanfear in Tel'aran'rhiod, she suddenly breaks free of Falme and sees Bair standing in front of her in the Aiel Waste. Bair is later present with other members of the Taardad clan when they see that Rand, Moiraine, Lan, Egwene, and Aviendha have crossed the Spine of the World and made it to the Aiel Waste.[2]
Bair and Rhuarc lead the party through the Waste, where they encounter a party of slain Tuatha'an. Rhuarc stays behind to bury the bodies, while Bair makes haste for Rhuidean. As they camp for the night, Bair tells Egwene that she is a Dreamwalker, which is a rare ability among those who have trained as Aes Sedai. She promises to teach Egwene what she knows about Dreamwalking once they get to Rhuidean.[3]
