Aridhol (Old Tongue for Land of Harmony) was an ancient nation of the Westlands. The nation collapsed during the Trolloc Wars, as its capital was destroyed by an evil within.
History[]
Aridhol was one of the great and prosperous nations that rose in the period immediately after the Breaking of the World.
During the Trolloc Wars, Aridhol promised aid to Manetheren if they could hold for three days, but never sent their armies. Instead, the people of Aridhol locked themselves inside their capital with no gate, and let the other nations be destroyed. After the wars had ended, the survivors of the other nations found that the City of Aridhol was completely abandoned, and had been destroyed from an evil within.
The nation's capital thus became known as Shadar Logoth, haunted by the destructive shadows known as Mashadar. It became a place where not even Trollocs would dare enter.[1]
