Aludran is a character in The Wheel of Time television series portrayed by Vladimír Javorský. He is an ailing, elderly man living in Northharbor.
History[]
Early life[]
Aludran is the son of Liandrin Guirale, an Aes Sedai of the Red Ajah. It is unknown if he was born prior to her training in the White Tower or if he was born when she was already an Aes Sedai.
Due to use of the One Power slowing his mother's aging process, Aludran visibly appears far older than his own mother. He lives in an apartment in Northharbor, and Liandrin pays him regular visits.[1]
Season 1[]
Moiraine Damodred knows that Liandrin has regularly been meeting a man in Northharbor. She threatens to expose this to the White Tower if Liandrin tells Siuan Sanche that Perrin Aybara and Egwene al'Vere have been Healed by the Yellow Ajah.
Season 2[]
A disguised Liandrin visits her elderly son in Northharbor. She goes to his bedside and lovingly asks him to wake up, as she is with him now. She gives him a medicine made of crimsonthorn, intending to ease the pain. Liandrin then noticed that Nynaeve al'Meara is in the apartment, and is shocked and outraged to see that she had been followed. Nynaeve states that she thought Liandrin was trying to kill him with the crimsonthorn, and that he was a man who could channel. Liandrin tells Nynaeve to walk away before she could do something both of them would regret, but Nynaeve stays to talk more about Aludran and his pain. The Novice points out that Aludran's hand is spasming, and explains that this means the pain was in his heart, and that crimsonthorn would not help with it. She suggests Liandrin use tumeric milk to help smooth the inflammation, but the Aes Sedai slaps her across the face, demanding Nynaeve get out at once before she kills her. Liandrin continues to angrily sob as Nynaeve departs, before apologizing to her son and saying she didn't know he would get hurt. She kneels by his bed and continues to cry, while Aludran reaches toward his mother's Great Serpent ring.[1]
According to Lanfear, he is the last tie that Liandrin has to her old life, to the weak girl she once was.
