Aldieb (Old Tongue for Westwind) is a character in The Wheel of Time television series. She is a horse owned by Moiraine Damodred.[1]
History[]
Season 1[]
Aldieb was first seen being mounted by Moiraine after the Aes Sedai witnessed a man being gentled by Liandrin Guirale. The mare was consistently ridden by Moiraine as the party departed the Two Rivers. When Moiraine became unable to ride from exhaustian and injury Aldieb continued to travel near Moiraine, being led by other people or running after Mandarb on her own.
Aldieb was ridden by Moiraine when she rode to Tar Valon and again when the woman departed the Tower. Moiraine gave a silent, yet tender farewell to her faithful mount before entering the Waygate, sending Aldieb and all the other horses away. Her fate after being set loose is unknown.
