Adeleas is a character in the The Wheel of Time television series portrayed by Nila Aalia.
Adeleas is an Aes Sedai of the Brown Ajah[nb 1] who lives in Tifan's Well with her sister, Verin, as well as Verin's Warder, Tomas. She and Verin intend to live there until their History of the World Since the Breaking is complete.
History[]
Early life[]
Adeleas was born somewhere in the Westlands. She studied at the White Tower in Tar Valon, and was eventually raised to Aes Sedai. Her sister, Verin, also became an Aes Sedai.
In the late 960s NE, Adeleas chose to leave the White Tower so she could work on a History of the World Since the Breaking along with Verin. Verin became the owner of the house in Tifan's Well where they lived. While Adeleas did not have a Warder, she became close to Verin's Warder, Tomas.[1]

- Adeleas is the first Aes Sedai on screen who does not regularly wear the colors of her Ajah. She instead opts for a bright, multicolor fashion scheme.

Changes from the book series[]
Adeleas is an adaptation of Adeleas Namelle 
(book spoilers!) from the book series.
- Verin is not Adeleas's sister in the book series. Instead, Adeleas's sister is, Vandene
(book spoilers!), an Aes Sedai of the Green Ajah. In the show, Adeleas is living with Verin instead. - Adeleas's surname is Namelle in the book series. Due to her different family circumstances, this is very likely to be different in the television series. Verin is sometimes credited without a surname in the show, but her surname was said to be Mathwin when Meera Syal was officially introduced as the character.[2] It is therefore possible that Adeleas's surname is Mathwin, although there is a chance she has a different surname from her sister.
